How DeLorean & KITT wedding hire actually works
We've been renting the DeLorean and KITT out for weddings for years and the process is dialled in. Here's exactly what happens, step by step, from the first call to the end of the reception.

1. Planning call
Once your date is confirmed we talk to you (or your wedding planner) to understand the timings, the ceremony venue, the reception venue and which moment matters most to you — the bride's arrival, the portraits, the entrance to the reception, or all three. If you're using a professional photographer we'll talk to them too to coordinate the effects.

2. Day-before logistics
Before the day we double-check the route, somewhere to unload the trailer, and access to the venue. If the car is a surprise to the bride or groom, we coordinate the timing so it appears at the exact right moment.

3. Arrival at the ceremony
We arrive with time to spare. One of our drivers will pick you up at the agreed point and deliver you to (or meet you at) the ceremony venue. Please note: our vehicles are not suited to transporting the bride or groom over long distances — they're built for the arrival wow-factor.

4. Portraits and reception entrance
After the ceremony it's portrait time: couple alone, couple with the wedding party, couple with family. If you want a movie-style entrance to the reception with smoke and lights, we set it up for the exact cue.

5. The guests and the party
Once the official photos are done we open the doors to your guests. Kids and adults take photos in the car, the parents-of-the-couple relive the film, and the energy of the room shifts. It becomes one of the highlights of the night.

For your photographer
If your photographer wants to talk to us beforehand, we love that. Practical details they usually ask about:
- The gull-wing doors need ~80cm of clearance to open — useful when planning the hero shot.
- Smoke can be triggered inside the cabin or externally from the rear vents — two distinct effects, both compatible with natural light or flash.
- KITT's red scanner and the DeLorean's lights look strongest at dusk or in shade. We can coordinate a night portrait session if you want that frame.
- The car can be repositioned for the angle and background your photographer prefers.
- We work quietly — we don't need to be in the photos, just to deliver the car at the agreed place and moment. (Although if you ask us really nicely, we're happy to dress up as Marty McFly or Michael Knight for some extra laughs from your guests.)

Frequently asked
Will my dress fit in the car?
Yes — both cars have been used by brides in full ballgown and cathedral-train dresses. We help you in and out so nothing snags.
How far do you travel?
We are based in Pilar de Horadada (Alicante) and operate across Spain and Portugal. We also travel to the rest of Europe on request. The car travels by trailer to your location.
Can guests sit in it for photos?
Absolutely. Once the formal photos are done we open the doors and let guests in for their own shots. It becomes a feature of the reception.
Do you do the smoke and lights?
Yes, on request and weather permitting. We brief your photographer so they catch it.
How far in advance should we book?
Saturdays in May to September go 9–12 months out. Weekday and off-season dates can sometimes be booked within weeks.
